Regional spelling bee

Winners of our local spelling bee are eligible to compete at the Regional Spelling Bee, to be held 1 p.m. Friday at Eastern New Mexico University. Junior division winner was Tayli Freed, with Austin Wall, runner-up. Senior division winner was Alyssa McAlister, with Jessalyn Beaty, runner-up.

BPA state qualifiers

Members of the Dora Business Professionals of America Chapter participated in the Region 2 New Mexico BPA Conference on Jan. 3 at ENMU.

Fifty members from Dora, Fort Sumner, House and Melrose participated in the Work Skills Assessment Program as 18 judges evaluated their work and presentations. The following Dora students received awards and will progress to the State Leadership Conference in Albuquerque:
