I’m hooked on a new treat. And this is funny …I’ve never really been a huge fan of fudge.
But I’m hooked. Lived the first half-century of life without it. Intend to enjoy it the second half-century! So I’ve named it “Half Century Fudge”.
It’s easy as can be, and I thought I’d better share the recipe.
• 1 can of Eagle Brand
• 1 1/2 bags of any kind of baking chips (I’m loving a bag of chocolate chips and half a bag of peanut butter chips.)
You heat these ingredients up in the microwave. 30 seconds. Stir. 30 seconds. Stir. 30 seconds. Stir and then spread into a buttered dish.
If you’d like to add some nuts, stir them in on that last stirring. We’re so kind to one another with this fudge.
We just plow into it on day one, eating enormous pieces. Eventually, we’re down to just a little bit left …and it’s not that we’re tired of it …we’re just polite.
We keep taking itsy-bitsy slices from it, making sure we leave a bit in the dish for the next person. And when it’s finally gone, we wait a day or two, and then we make another batch.
