Thursday is registration day for students returning to grades kindergarten through 12th at Dora Consolidated Schools. The teachers and front office will be available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration will be on a come-and-go basis; buses will not run and the cafeteria will not be serving. This will provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss the upcoming school year.
Parents will bring their elementary students to sign in and visit with their teacher, see their classroom, bring their supplies to school, and get settled in to start school next week. High school students will sign in with their class sponsor, receive their class schedule and locker assignment, and prepare their locker. Students will also receive their student handbooks, yearly and monthly school calendars, and student registration packets.
Monday will operate as a normal school day from 7:55 a.m. until 3:50 p.m.
Parents interested in enrolling 3- or 4-year-old students in the Dora preschool program are to call Patty Mohon, preschool teacher, at 575-760-6606 or the school office at 575-477-2211 to make a screening appointment. Screening and registration will be on Thursday.
