(Roosevelt County, NM) – On Thursday July, 02, 2010, deputies with the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office, Curry County Sheriff’s Office, and Clovis Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant in the 200 Block of South Ave G. In Portales. 

During the search warrant deputies found a substantial quantity of Cocaine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Eleno Bustamante, DOB: 05-21-89, of Portales, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine, a second degree felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. 

Mr. Bustamante was being held at the Roosevelt County Detention Center on a $50,000.00 cash only bond as well as a $1,500.00 cash surety bond. Additional arrests are anticipated in the upcoming week and the investigation is ongoing.

Chief Deputy Malin Parker stated that this is the 56th drug arrest since Jan 01/10 generated by the Sheriffs Office.
