There’s more Curry County fair fun to be had this weekend as the fair in Clovis finishes up this weekend with the motocross show tonight and Saturday and a concert performance by Aaron Watson at 9 p.m. Saturday.
There will also be the enjoyment of fair rides and food.
Another highlight to this weekend is an archeology presentation happening at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Blackwater Draw Site. Those of you interested in Curry and Roosevelt County history and our area’s ancient ancestors may be interested in checking it out.
Next week, Roosevelt County residents have the Portales fair to look forward to with more rides, food and concerts and other performances.
The kick off performance at 7 p.m. Tuesday night is the Starlight Swingers square dancing, which should be a lot of fun to watch. And don’t forget Friday night will be Roosevelt County’s local country star Will Banister.
Check the newspaper for a fair schedule to see what’s happening every day at the Roosevelt County Fair, which runs Tuesday through Saturday.
