Eastern New Mexico University’s mens basketball team on Thursday added prep school forward Lawrence Domingo.

Domingo, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound forward from Stoneridge Prep School in Los Angeles, will join the Greyhounds as a freshman.

“He’ll start off for us as a power forward,” Helton said, noting the Hounds had significant losses at the 4 position. “As his career progresses, he’ll play more and more on the perimeter.

Domingo averaged 16.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists in his lone season at Stonebrook, and averaged 15.1 points, 14.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists in three years of high school basketball at Community Charter High School, also in Los Angeles.

The Greyhounds finished 14-14 during an injury-plagued season, falling to West Texas A&M in the first round of the Lone Star Conference postseason tournament.
