Jan. 13, 1947: The Portales Daily News: Ten buildings from the Ft. Sumner Air Base were moved to the campus of Eastern New Mexico College Monday, according to Ray M. Howard, project engineer of the Federal Works Agency. The buildings sat in a quadrangle south of the music hall.
