Preschool begins Patty Mohon, preschool teacher, and Elaine Schneider, educational assistant, began their classes Monday. Again this year we have a Monday/Wednesday group and a Tuesday/Thursday group, and classes meet in the preschool building behind the high school.

Portales Municipal Schools are starting classes two hours late Friday. Eastern New Mexico University has canceled all classes until regular times Monday, according to Director of Media Relations Wendel Sloan. University business offices remain open during normal hours.
