Teens arrested for unauthorized graffiti

Three Portales teenagers were arrested Friday and Saturday on multiple counts of unauthorized graffiti, according to Portales police. Portales Sgt. Pat Gallegos took a report of unauthorized graffiti Oct. 11. Officers found 29 locations with graffiti. The charges ranged from three-degree to fourth-degree felonies, police said.

Portales man’s trial set

Portales resident Daniel Webster will be tried in court Sept. 27 for charges of criminal sexual contact of a minor, a fourth degree felony. New Mexico State Police conducted an investigation after Webster was accused of inappropriately touching two female minors. Webster was arrested Sept. 1 and released Sept. 6 on a $5,000 bond.
