Dec. 2,1941: The Portales Daily News: Three men were inducted into the U.S. Army this afternoon at the Selective Service office. Homer Braxton was inducted at the same time in Texas. The three inducted here were Lowell William Mullen, Ira Eugene Terrill and Grant Raley Edwards.
